Coyote Forging & Metalworks

Picture

Denise Edwards graduated from Porterville Horseshoeing School in California in 1981. She went on to a 27-year farrier career in Flagstaff, Arizona and a lifetime filled with animals and nature. She explains, "I excelled in my forge work at school, but my love of horses and the desire to be a farrier controlled my mindset. Along the way, I learned more and more forging techniques and found that I truly loved creating things from metal, especially things that look alive."
This respect for nature and its fine artistic detail is reflected in Denise's metalworks, like her leaf creations. And from her love of animals, comes her love of creating animals as shown in the dog walker sculptures, whimsy stick figures walking eager dogs.
Denise currently owns and races sled dogs. "They have brought a lot of joy into my life so I created a forged and welded dog that does all kinds of fun sports."
Another sporting figure is Denise's stick person with kokopelli-like hair. Her stick figures take on many poses and are action orientated. They ride horses, snow board, ski, golf, lift weights, ride mountain bikes, walk dogs, and anything else that anyone wants.
Then there are the functional creations by Denise that incorporate beauty, style and usability. From her fireplace tools to celtic crosses, wine racks and roses, the only limit is one's imagination.
Hope you enjoy the viewing as much as Denise enjoys the creating! http://www.coyoteforging.net/

Endless Sumner Art

Picture
Hello, I'm Kate Sumners and I am the artist behind Endless Sumners Art. My mainstays are charcoal and pastel portraits of people and pets; I also love photography and watercolor painting. My style is definitely realism and I love to put LOTS of detail in my work. I'm 29 years old and live in Arizona with my husband Brandon and our two Italian Greyhound 'kids' Toby and Scout. I love art, gardening, hiking, and the outdoors. I've been a self employed artist full time since February 2009 when the economy took a dive and my day job banking position was eliminated. This was definately a blessing in disguise I am very grateful to now get to make a living doing what I love! My artwork is intensely personal because I accurately capture loved ones with sensitivity, attention to detail & personality. Portraiture is a type of artwork that will be treasured forever and I want to make charcoal become better known as a gold standard medium like oil is. My favorite compliment is that I have often moved the recipient to tears by realistically capturing and celebrating their loved one. If you want to get to know me better, check out my blog at http://www.EndlessSumnersArt.Blogspot.com or "Like" Endless Sumners Art on Facebook. http://ESArt.Etsy.com
